Venue for January 4 . . . Gulfstream Park

I expect that we will be playing Gulfstream Park frequently this winter. You might enjoy as a warm up for our GP contest on a Saturday a contest that Gulfstream sponsors every Friday of their winter season. It is called Beat The Expert and requires you to make a win selection in all 10 races. If you have more winners than the GP expert of that day, you will be entered in a drawing for a Gulfstream polo shirt that also has "Beat the Expert" embroidered on the sleeve. 3 winners are chosen every week and announced during the pre-race program on Saturday morning.

The GP expert rotates each week between Ron Nicoletti, Jason Blewitt and Acacia Courtney (I think it is Acacia's turn this week). You can learn the expert's picks by watching their pre-race program that starts around 11:40 or so.

Since you are seeking the most winners irrespective of value, expect to be picking a lot of chalk. But I have still found it to be an enjoyable exercise and way to sharpen your handicapping.
