Steve talked about the field size a bit today and I totally agree that the quality of the 4 horses is great. I think there is general disappointment because the original 6 possible/probable horses would have really made this a stacked field and exciting race. |

![]() Totally agree about your disappointment.
My thought was that Del Mar(born, raised and still live there)is starting to align itself with Santa Anita's policies and practices and that with the trainers and owners leaving make for very disappointing, small fields except for big days witch raises those averages much higher. I don't think they need more races or race days, they need more horses and larger fields. This is what most Gambler/thoroughbred ![]()
