Who or what would you like said? Horses have accidents man. It sucks and if you’re human you feel bad but nothing will change that.

For as long as horse racing has existed and for as long as it lasts, there will be breakdowns. I’m sure everyone wishes we could wave a magic wand and stop it but we can’t. The goal should be to limit breakdowns as much as possible and for as awful a year Santa Anita has had...they actually have made a lot of positive changes.

I’m not sure what your agenda here is but I’m not sure what else needs to be said at this point.

What agenda? I didn't start this thread. If trying to save horses and horse racing is my "crusade" then so be it. I don't know why this is even brought up if this board just wants to focus on the sunny side of racing and gambling. I can play that game too.

It's nice to say "sorry for your loss" and "condolences to the connections" but it does nothing to help the sport.

Next time I suggest we just do this when a horse goes down....

Forget it. I know we play for the same team and want the best for the sport. I have no quarrel with you.

I tend to get emotional on this topic and sometimes writing something in texts, emails and message boards gets misconstrued. I can still remember watching Ruffian as a kid and I was never the same.
