Mucho Gusto may not win Saturday (I won’t be using). But it certainly won’t be due to Joe Talamo. He is a first rate jock who has ridden in many big races. I think he can handle Saratoga.

There's no change. Talamo has been riding Mucho Gusto from the start. And even if he hadn't, Mike Smith wasn't available having committed to Dallas Stewart well before Baffert made the decision to send Mucho Gusto Monday.

I'll reiterate again that the Baffert uses Talamo on horses where physical strength are of paramount importance.

I like Talamo and he is having a solid meet at Delmar. Hes a good rider. Hard to ever count out Baffert horses in big races but seems like a last minute audible to run here. Looking at this race someone is going to take them a long way out front. I think Code of Honor is horse to beat.

All during the Triple Crown season, Baffert makes audible calls and sends horses out of town (Oaklawn, Sunland) based on how they're doing at the moment.
