There are 10-12 (at least) trainers that are having the same type of discussion with their owners. It's just that Casse has an even better excuse than the other 10-11 guys.
Which would you want to tell War of Will's owner, Gary Barber? "We are gunna have to cut back to a sloppy 8 or 9 furlongs, Gear, Buddy. We are a little short of air going 10f." or "We were gunna be right there, if we didn't get brutally fouled. Oh, boy. He would of been right there. I just know it, Gear. Thank God he got taken down. He cost us 2nd or 3rd minimum, minimum. Trust me , pal. He was rolling. "
