Gotham is that day as well, though not sure the quality we’ll see in that one. The Gotham winner hasn’t fared well in the Derby in recent years.

Mott is obviously holding the goods.
Hidden Scroll is a monster. Country House is good and Tacticus has every right to be good. |

Bill Mott winning a derby works for me. I have to see Hidden Scroll on a dry track. Hidden Scroll certainly can handle a wet one.

He’s got a shot for sure. I’m on the Vekoma bandwagon but can’t count out a handful of the horses mentioned as probables/possibles. McPeek plans to run Signalman in the FoY, and I think may rest HW and shoot for the Florida Derby with him, which may be a pretty good plan. Why push him if you think he can win the Florida Derby?

HW seems to run well every race. I’m sure he could pass some tired rivals but I don’t see him in the top tier (and there may be 2-3 very good horses in the FoY).
I’m not really impressed with any of the horses from the Holy Bull. I may cut Maximus Mischief some slack because he was off the lay-off. But so was HW. |
