He rode Marley's Freedom that day. Mike has 21 Graded wins this year and has 12 of Bafferts 24 but only 3 of 10 since Sept which statistically is within reason. I just find it odd that he is nowhere to be seen on Baffert's 2 year olds...

In Edit...

Andy is quicker than I am...

Is he more likely to win or run last?
I have him as the 9th most likely winner.

In that order ..... you remind me of my dad, he covered the whole Kentucky Derby field and then touted the winner although I do agree with you, GREAT BETTING race!

Copper Bullet could run away from all of these, mix him in with the Ax Man and Kanthaka.

This Malibu is tricky. Could pace get going? I think it may. Still Having Fun and Axelrod can be there near the end at nice prices. Fun betting race. Good luck

Really excited for Horse Racing Roulette.

Turns all these pesky large fields back to 3 betting interests.

Doesn't he have to deal with the 1 and at least 1 of Bafferts horses? I hate the field he beat last time, though it was fast and off the layoff.

When Asmussen ships early for a race for which he is pointing, he’s very good. If he’s not in front of the one hoss, he should take him on the turn and win off. Byk does not even rate him a C, which is concerning, but not getting me off this winner.

I wouldn't toss him but the pace should get moving here. I'm covering him in the tris and pick 4 but others at higher odds appeal to me more especially 4 and 6 horse. This is very good betting race

Thought he was up against it in that group. Needed the lead and wasn't going to get it with at least 3 others in same boat.. and faster.

Did anyone see a tweet regarding Jose thought that Copper Bullet may have caught a shoe upside his head?

@DJFiske

For those wondering about #CopperBullet ‘s uncharacteristically poor run in yesterday’s Malibu, Jose thinks he was hit in the head by a horseshoe. Not sure as he didn’t see it but it hit with enough force that he heard it

Baffert said something very revealing when I asked him to discuss the 6 months of prep time for Coliseum. He said he turned to Talamo when developing the colt because he needed someone physically strong for control. And he was very careful to not malign Smith as part of the explanation. Smith may be fine for finished products, but may not be up to handling headstrong young horses.

Race 7-
The 5 is clearly the horse to beat and he might be more effective at shorter distances. The 1 is the wild card, but he likely wants longer.
If you want to toss Gidu's last 3 races, his Saratoga race makes him a player. Can he get back to it and is it worth taking 7-2 to find out. I guess if the 9,11 both scratched Gidu would then be a big player.
Race 8-
Not sure yet. Dont really want either of the chalks though.
