![]() It was a fun two days, but way too many races to handicap. I usually just play a few of them. Sometimes I play the last 4 or 5 on Saturday. This year I played 2 on Friday and 5 on Saturday. All the races I played were on dirt.
These seemed to be the easier ones. I played exactas and hit in 4 of the 7 so ended up winning a little. They were all pretty chalky. None paying more than $25. I think I won enough to buy a cup of coffee depending upon whether you buy it at Starbucks or a McDonalds. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Thanks. I think I have finally learned that exactas are the way to go for me.
I like playing tris because they pay so much more, but I'm afraid they are a bit of a siren's song that I am going to try to resist in the future. These exercises that we do here really are important and instructive not just for the lessons in handicapping, but also for the lessons in wage construction and wager choice which I think I tend to pay less attention to. I will still play tris, but for lesser amounts. Ok, stepping down from the pulpit now. ![]() |
