:21.51 :43.58 1:07.25 1:13.53 nothing overly fast for down the hill there...2nd place finisher maybe softened up a touch by being on the lead...but considering Billy's Echo was widest of them all at the top of the stretch (and for the majority of the race too), he put in a pretty good effort. An effort that doesn't really appear to match up with his current form from the past few races. |

![]() The 6 1/2 furlong down the hillers are a guessing man's game. I love betting these but only once (Shadow of Illinois) did I ever make a decent score on one. Thats about 1 for 60 to be honest. Anybody who says they can handicap these races are kidding themselves. Nothing but a guess. Like Scuds says, horses that get the least screwed up rides win. Either that or the f'ing chalk.
I considered Billy's Rat a contender but not really for the win. Didnt think there was enough speed to set up the rat's late rally. But he has won before at huge odds. |
