I like anything to do with Holy Bull. Plus, my husband and I cleaned up with Giacomo in his Derby. He should breed to quick sprinter types. He has the stamina. Maybe his detractors will believe in him when he sires a few stakes winners. Stronach loves Holy Bull horses; maybe some talented girls will be breeding to Giacomo.

Personally, I love his conformation. I also love the fact that he's got higher leg action. I can see him being a versatile sire for both dirt and turf runners. He gets a lot of hate, but I like him a lot. I hope he proves all of his naysayers wrong.

Cajun,
As you probably already know, I like "higher leg action" as well.
"Versitile sires" take 'em where they find 'em, and bring new levels of excitement.
Oh...I'm talking horses, in case you didn't know.

Never understood the Giacomo naysayers.. I liked him and the rest of that SA Derby crew going into the Derby when everyone else hated the whole group. (Still wonder what happened to General John B..) Had him across the board, and Closing Argument P/SH to boot.

Mike Smith told me, and anyone who cared to believe him, everything you needed to know about their chances Tuesday before Derby:

Cajun,
I highly recommend "Horse of a Different Color" by Jim Squires.
Very good read...and hope for "small time breeders".
Oh yeah...I'm finished shopping. Wheeww!

Let's cut to the chase and admit that most sires in general will take 'em where they can get 'em.
