Zenyatta was probably a turf horse and they would have certainly ducked with her.

That smacks of a very contorted effort to get in yet one more jab at Zenyatta, no matter what the thread topic.

Wtf is going on with people's reading comprehension? First of all, any slight intended was aimed at the connections, not the horse. Second, and most relevant, was that I was being contrarian to the post about ducking. You know, because the connections made the flimsiest of reasons up to pass on a race illustrating that the potential is real to duck major turf races.

Was fortunate enough to have seen both her 2016 Endeavor, and her still-standing course record effort in the 2016 Hillsborough running down an impossible-to-catch Isabella Sings. She was something else.

Yes RBE. I was happy to have seen her up close at Tampa last year. I love that she made up her own mind to retire.

First you asserted that "Zenyatta was probably a turf horse". You don't even sound convinced of that yourself. I guess you're saying if she WAS a turf horse, her connections are worthy of being held up as ducking "major turf races". Surely you could have found a better example of ducking than connections who ultimately ran a mare against males in two BC Classics. Your point and intent would have been stronger if you'd found a horse that was more a turf horse than "probably", and one whose connections had ducked a race in the past 8 years. But Zenyatta and her connections are still such popular targets...

She was bred to like turf, she ran like a turf horse, like many turf horses, she ran very well on synthetic, but she never ran on turf. So yeah, there is room for some for doubt. The rest of your post is nonsensical.

She won multiple Apple Blossems and her loss to Blame was massive, solidifying her greatness. She was a dirt horse.

Yeah, street cry and Kris s never got runners that did well on turf and she couldn't run a lick on synthetic.
