![]() Fair Hill Point to Point was held Easter Sunday April 16 over a firm turf course.
Michael Dickinson sent out 2 runners in the 2 mile amateur turf flat race, Tale of Verve and Hirschbein. All runners carried 165 pounds for 2 laps around the turf course. This was an unsanctioned race that will not show in the past performances or as a workout. Tale of Verve was 2nd to American Pharoah in the 2015 sloppy Preakness and was previously trained by Dallas Stewart. Tale of Verve won the race by a neck over Yellow Mountain (Jonathan Sheppard $30K claimer) with Hirschbein another length back in 3rd. The time for the 2 miles was 3:48:4/5. The runners had a strong finish, running the 2nd mile 10 seconds faster than the 1st mile – I know because I was the official timer of all the races. Michael Dickinson was absolutely overjoyed with the result. I asked him what his plans are for Tale of Verve but he did not respond. Tale of Verve and Hirschbein are going in my stable watch. Results for the Fair Hill Point to Point races are at the following link: http://www.centralentryoffice.com/Re...&MeetYear=2017 Good Luck at the races!!!
