As a Bama fan I'm slightly relieved but good grief what a joke of a playoff.

Washington was completely dominated by USC. There is absolutely no reason for the Pac-12 to have an "automatic". The game against Bama will be a ratings disaster and snoozefest.

6 teams should be the standard. Two play-in games for the semifinals. 1 and 2 seed get a bye.

I like the 8 with the top 5 having to be conference champs. Only issue is teams that go all the way will be playing as many games as nfl
