Pretty sure Arrogate just proved he already IS a monster! Not sure any other horse in the world runs down Chrome tonight.
Ok sure. Might wanna check the M. Smith interview after the race.

Hands DOWN the best BC weekend of races since I became a fan in 2004!

Classic Empire made me look like a genius today as I touted him heavily to anyone that asked me today at the party what my best bet was.

Flintshire not catching Highland Reel made me look stupid not even 3 minutes after explaining how the majority of turf races are run and are won by horses from off the pace (probably not even statistically true haha). "Hey, I said the MAJORITY" were my exact post-race words.

All in all it was an unbelievable weekend of racing. Ive been sick since Thursday and the only remedy for my illness was great racing. Cures better than 'more cowbell', that's for sure!

Hope everyone crushed it -- esp Steve! Awesome tabbing!

Just checked it. This is from Mike Smith according to the Santa Anita post race transcript: "I winded up cutting the corner going into the far turn, and that really helped a lot. Because once I switched over and dropped into the far turn, he really picked it up at that point, able to get him back outside." Pretty sure that was the winning move, which was the move I was referring in the original post. Not sure if I missed something in the interview. It seems that I did from your inference so I apologize. Please let me know if I did so I can make notes moving forward and handicap accordingly.

Thanks again for the heads up. Appreciate it.

The intent of my previous post was to agree with your premise that it was a hall of fame ride that won the classic. I apologize if it came off as antagonistic. That was not the intent.
