I still say Phelps is by far a greater Olympian than Bolt due to the competition both faced plus the progression of world records in multiple events.

He won at the 100, 200 and 400 repeatedly.

I agree! Bolt is great but Phelps is the greatest Olympic athlete ever!

I wouldn't go that far but the free and fly's would be all out war if you put them both in their prime.

Phelps is better because he is all-around better and it's proven. The dominance in the 200 IM doesn't lie.
