Steve, please pass on our gratitude and thanks for the countless, wonderful contributions Mr. Crist has authored for the game we all love. His many insightful columns into a variety of issues, were tremendous. I consider Exotic Betting a handicapping bible. He will be very much missed around the game. Best wishes in retirement to Steve Crist.

Crist is the best, no doubt. Anything he wrote was must reading and he surely changed the sport in many ways.

But, I am curious. Why the announcement now? I know he had some health issues a while back. He has been at least semi-retired for some time now and he would write very sparingly. I assume that, should he have something to say in the future, the DRF would print it.

Is there more to the story?

Paul

Deserves all these accolades and many more. I loved the Racing Times when it came out because it was horseplayer centric. He's always kept us in mind with anything he has done. I only hope I can get him to sign my copy of Exotic Betting someday. Happy trails and best of luck!

Just finished listening to the interview. Great stuff as always. Mr. Crist will be missed. I wish him all the best. Hopefully, he will have time for regular guest appearances with you in the future.

I was searching for information on The Racing Times and found this...

I remember the RT's and sure wish I had held on to a copy.

Have a great day everyone.
