Your point is fair and true, that alone is not a measure of ability.
I do think that John Servis is a very talented trainer that is more than very adept and places his horses well which he proved when he was given the chance to train a very talented horse. I think like a number of trainers he has the talent to train better stock than he has been given.
No knock on Jason either who is a very good trainer. Either are capable of having live horses for Saratoga.
