![]() maybe not here OTO but I have already read a couple of spots where he is getting beat up pretty good for toasting Nyquist

![]() He's not a good jockey. Not much else to say. I can name 25 jockeys I'd want over him.

![]() It was truly awful from beginning to end. I can understand riding like you're on the best horse, but he seriously rode like if any other horse was ever in front of him then he had no chance to win. It was bizarre. He should have had the exact same trip Gun Runner had in the Kentucky Derby.

![]() While I don't think Mario is anywhere near a top jock, I have to think that his instructions were to stalk off the speed and the horse was way too keen and would not cooperate. Nyquist wasn't good enough yesterday IMO.

![]() I said as much right after the race but it's nothing to lose sleep over. Mario shouldn't take all of the blame.
The horse didn't like the track. That course this weekend was not up to the standard for a grade 1 event. But it really doesn't matter because Nyquist wasn't winning the Belmont and I'm confident in that even if they run him. They shouldn't run him. Save the horse for the summer/fall.
