Default HOF Dilemma

Sometimes I just scratch my head at the HOF. All major sports and tons of leagues, organizations, racetracks and almost everybody has a hall of fame. But I've never seen one get tangled in it's own shoelaces so much. Years ago the problem was getting people in, this year it will be keeping horses and people out. You have the best finalists in recent memory with a solid case to be made for all. Unfortunately, deserving finalists have no path. Kona Gold and English Channel are deserving, so are Gomez and Perret. David Whitely, we're getting to the point people forget.

With Rachel, Zenyatta and Asmussen on the ballot, would it have been better to wait for next year for Ramon ? Maybe they need to change the voting, maybe they need to change the voters, maybe they need to change the rules.

I don't know. I also didn't like switching the HOF race date. It had become a nice affair during the week, now it seems swallowed up into the weekend.

Just thoughts. I'd have no problem with the entire ballot going in. If they get the votes.

Any solutions ? This should be a fairly simple thing.
