![]() Stonestreet's John Moynihan on the $1-million Hip 5
Hip 5, an Uncle Mo colt out of the Two Punch mare Five Star Dream made the first big ruckus of the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale, selling to the partnership of Stonestreet Farm and M.V. Magnier of the Coolmore partnership for $1 million. His breeze was absolutely breathtaking and Uncle Mo is hot fire right now, so it was definitely a fair price. A decision had not been made about who would train the colt at the time of transaction, but Coolmore and Stonestreet co-campaign Fountain of Youth runner-up Zulu with Todd Pletcher. Here is what John Moynihan, bloodstock adviser to Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Stables had to say about the colt after signing the ticket... "He's a beautiful horse. He was a standout here all week. He trained every day, breezed fantastic. He's a big horse, looks like he can run far. We're excited. He looks like a really special horse.
