If it's not him, then it's Rubio (ugh!). Cruz has made his bed (the same one that Romney and McCain made before him ) catering to Evangelicals with a hard-line, far right conservative message and in doing so is isolating Independents, moderate Conservatives, and Blue Collar (Regan) Democrats.
The problem is it doesn't add up. It never does.
Add in the fact that he embodies everything that most everyone detests about lawyers, and his nomination would be essentially ceding the presidency to Clinton.
So if this is finally the silver bullet that does Trump in, well...yeah.
