Chris Mortensen is making the rounds on ESPN radio reporting that Saban isn't happy in Miami and is interested in returning to the college ranks.

Local Sports radio guy that covered the SEC made a comment that I agree with: 2 Football Schools that are no longer what they were Alabama and Miami and the jobs are not attractive at all, he ranked Alabama as the 8th most attractive job in the SEC. These two schools got the Heisman from Rutgers and West Virginia, not real impressive...

Surprises me that Saban already wants to go back to college. Thought he would stick it out at Miami a while. |

As far as Saban goes, he would be the best guy they could get anyway!!! Hes won a National Championship and now has pro connections that prospects wanna see because they all think they are gonna make it to the pros. He'd be a major score for Bama, and he could offer them the best chance at getting back to where they wanna be. |

I live a stone's throw away from Indiana, and see far more Tide stickers than Irish, nobody wants to live in South Bend they just got Weis because nobody would give him a HC gig in the NFL |

the Bama job is still a great job, it will take some extra elbow grease to get it shined up again. appearently coaches now a days don't want to do any work. CRR can stay at wvu with his terrible in and out of conference schedule win 9-10 games every year. go undefeated and be LUCK to play for the NC IF at all. Bama interm coach and DC Joe Kines told the team last saturday " CRR traded a goldmine for a coalmine". in the near future, Kines is probably right.

As far as the goldmine to the coalmine comment, that is hysterical. The only way Rodriguez gets more of a goldmine than he already has was by staying put. |

I didn't say that I have been to both facilities, this is from 2 guys that covered SEC schools, Georgia and Kentucky, why would they lie? I think I have found a new group of the most delusional fans, it was a tossup between UK Basketball Fans and Ohio State Football fans, but I think the Alabama fans are actually worse than both. It's not a bad job, but why knock yourself out trying to win in the SEC and deal with psychos like you, it's not an attractive job as you guys think. And as for the horse comment, I have forgotten more than you will ever know... |

ok well why did Dantonio bolt the first chance he had for the last place team in the Big Ten this year? UC's facilities = River Downs Alabama's facilities = Churchill Downs "Point Given, NOT TODAY!" |

What the hell difference do facilities make anyway?
Its football, not figure skating. All you need is a weight room and a field for them to kick the **** out of each other on. I don't see what difference it makes. As far as the coach search goes, they will get a top notch coach sooner or later. Its too good of an opportunity for someone not to take it. BUt again, if the job is as great as Bama fans are claiming, then why is it still open instead of being immediately filled by guys trying to get in? Isn't that really the proof in the pudding that perhaps Bama fans think its a better job than it is perceived by everyone else? |

The other guy is a PW'ed stuttering boob who's got a mediocre record at best. Our problem is there aren't many real men left in the coaching ranks. Most of them are intimidated by the bear and settle for less by coaching at some jugblowing, couch burning, ****hole on the side of a mountain. |

Let's see why did Dantonio bolt??? #1 He was the second lowest paid BCS Coach behind Duke #2 Why beg to get 27,000 people to come to your games, when you have 71,000 more than willing. He had to call people in Cincinnati to ask them to come to a game... It's a no brainer, I don't blame him, Cincinnati is a Pro Football Town and College Basketball Town, it will never be a College Football Town and I don't pretend otherwise... Dantonio even said that the facilities are as nice or better than Michigan State or OSU, both places he coached. UC will max out at 35k attendance, so yes many schools have them beat that way, but for training and general setup, they have one of the best in the Country as stated by the anouncers on ESPN during one of the games, they couldn't lavish enough praise on the place, it just went through a huge overhaul. And for the Bama fans questioning me have I been to Bama and them claiming to have better facilities than NFL Teams, how many NFL Facilities or other College Facilities have you toured. Just more nonsense from the Bama fans. Pointg5=Realistic Fan Bellamy Road=Bama Nut Job |
