You do know that mythical money contests and real time betting strategies are different? Sometimes you need to take a shot in a contest that doesn't warrant a large win or place bet (that goes for underlays too).

I take it you mean isn't the best way to go. I agree, hell some of the contest races (like the 7th at Gulfstream) wasn't worth a real money bet. Two of the horses making drops almost didn't finish the race.

Yes I realize this... I just am a firm believer in my contest pick, thus my real money wagers...
Last year at HPWS I was in top 30 after day 1 missed every race day 2...
