As a west coast guy I will be sad to see him go. Perhaps he has lost a little bit but he to me is still far ahead of Becker who just lists the running order without any indication of how they are travelling, being under a ride, etc. I also like that Trevor gives a play-by-play of the loading process as I don't always have 100% attention on every track and when I hear him saying such-and-such moving in then I can go make that last minute bet as opposed to Becker who doesn't say anything other than "They're at the Post," after the whole field is loaded and by then it's too late.

I think Frank M. would be my choice for replacement but any of the previous names mentioned would do a fine job. Well, maybe not Grunder.

Well said. I'll be sad to see him go as well.

I would love to see Vic get the job...

I was very critical of Trevor getting the BC gig and thought he did not live up to Durkin's standard, but I've grown to appreciate him over the years simply because he knows how to observe the flow of the race. This sounds like it should be easy, but in the heat of the moment to be able to fluently tell the story of a race is a rare gift and Trevor had it.

Also, IMO there is only one replacement and that's Vic. No matter what personal issues you might have with the guy, the SoCal circuit has sorely missed his voice and other than John Dooley, there's no racecaller more deserving of this elevated post.

Exactly Joey and Vic has this ability to deliver this in such a fashion you can see the race with your eyes closed.
