![]() i can see why shugs doing what he's doing.
not a knock on the jcgc. also, if he did poorly at 10f saturday, what would that prep him for on bc weeked? the kelso is right up his alley, shouldn't take as much out of him, and gives him a great prep for going 10f in a few weeks. that way, the only question is going 10f...not whether this wknd takes too much out of him.

![]() Which part of my post in answer to your suggestion that if he ran in the JCGC and did not handle a 1 1/4 that it would not prep him for anything on Breeder's Cup day suggests that I am not aware that they are pointing him to the Classic?

![]() I think it's great and he'll be primed for the Classic. Who was the last American horse to run 1 1/4 in his prep and run worth a darn in the Classic? Maybe I didn't think thoroughly and there's one or two I missed?

![]() Pretty difficult to have a long list considering how few 10-furlong dirt races are left on the calendar, but Curlin and Blame seemed to do OK in BC Classics after prepping in the JCGC. Bernardini too. No idea why prepping at the same distance of an upcoming big race would be a detriment. If anything, it should be beneficial, especially for a horse like Honor Code with no experience at the distance.

I would say that it could prep him very well for the Dirt Mile
