Winning 5 races in 12 weeks including the triple crown against a pretty good crop of horses was terrible too. I'm not here saying he is the greatest horse of all time but people saying he was lucky is beyond ludacris. Lost one race against a horse who is improving every start.

I believe it's 2 races he's lost and I can see where some would feel he did get lucky when there was that torrential downpour before the Preakness because it totally changed the dynamics of the race when that happened. Firing Line and Dortmund had no shot when that happened.

I didn't count the first race as I was focusing on this year. Yes the rain helped in the Preakness but he came back three weeks later and ran the 6th fastest Belmont ever. Again I'm not saying he was the greatest ever but some of the bashing on here is crazy. Hate the connections or not it wasn't luck that carried this horse.

Mrs Arletta Mortimer is a known Baffert hater. Please take her opinion on this matter with a grain of salt.

You win the triple crown - your a great horse.
His record so far 10 8 1 0 not too shabby
As for all time greats he hasn't even cracked the
top 20. To improve his reputation he will have to win the classic
and prove his mettle against older

Sir barton was a great horse?

Look, its a rare achievement of course. Hes one of a dozen to ever do it...but i have no problem finding a lot of horses id put ahead of a lot of tc winners.
and i dont think the travers loss is a ding on the horse...i think its a mark against his connections.
i felt ever since the haskell, from all baffeet said that the horse wouldnt go. But, it all comes down to the owner, and he said i want to run.
reminds me of the turners with slew and shipping to cali.

Ap will be talked of for some time.....at least til the next tc winner! I think hes had a better than average year. Whats too bad is that it seemed this year would be great with older horses, but that just didnt pan out.

How I feel or don't feel about Baffert had nothing to do with my opinion on his statement.
