Not sure what she was running against, but I was pretty impressed. Looked like JV had to work her after the slow start. Then she ends up going wide and runs down the leader. Definitely not the easiest of trips in a debut.

He probably expected to have to do that at the start. I remember hearing about her tendency to break slow so this may just be a thing for her. I'm not in love with it just because it has the potential to make a race harder and limit the options for strategy and placement, so I hope it's something she's dealing with as a baby and not a long term habit.

Ran like a good thing to me. See where they go and what happens, but I liked it.

Ran against a well regard group including the Casse, Dutrow & Asmussen.

Covered more ground than any other in the race.

Pletcher on ATR Tuesday said BC Juvenile Fillies the goal and Spinaway (9/5) very possible.

Amazing that her dam raced at 2,3, and 4 and missed the Breeders Cup every year. Hopefully this filly will have better luck..

I dunno- her mom did pretty okay, even without running in the BC.

(I still remember how indignant Jerry Bailey after the BCC was at the thought that Rachel might possibly beat Zenyatta for HOY, seeing as how she didn't run in the BC. Heh.)
