Honestly, he didn't miss much - just had absolutely zero concept of distance there...And his putting continues to be absent from his game. But he only missed like 2 shots. Everything else was either woefully long or woefully short.

Woefully long and short are missed shots for players of that caliber. His swing is all over the place when his shots are that inconsistent. He's either too steep or too shallow. And forget even talking about his head position throughout the swing. His swing is in shambles today and his mental place on course is even worse.

And he is playing timid using irons while others using drivers. for all intents and purposes he was done after he dunked his second shot. You could see it on his face that "**** , here we go again" look

It's a shame he's fallen so much since the earlier part of his career. Truly one of the greatest sports icons of my childhood is now just an 'average joe' for lack of a better term.

but his back 9 today was hardly the work of a golfer deemed "done". In fact, it was better than most of what Ive been seeing thus far. He easily could have packed it in ( or better yet, clenched his lower back and withdrawn lol ) but he stayed the course and shot pretty well on the back 9 after an abysmal front. Granted, he'll likely miss the cut, and is a shell of his former self, but it must be nice to be a shell of your former self and still be better than 99% of the rest of the world.

He will have great rounds but the consistency over 4 days will be difficult to get back. He has played good rounds but the next day he shoots 10 strokes higher. He is mentally not where he needs to be, not sure if that will ever come back.

To Kevin's point, I'm not sure if he retires how that would effect his endorsement deals. Nike isn't going to pay 8 figures to someone out of the game.

he should re learn the game left handed.....nice fresh start. No bad habits. he has the ability. he has no idea where the ball is going. that Sally ass putt on 18 was disgraceful.
