7/11 (DEL): Delaware Oaks, Robert Dick Mem. (G3's), 2 U/C stakes

Went to Del Park today and saw a horse win the Oaks and pay $110. Yikes. I was with some friends in the business and I told them at the 1/16th pole, this horse is not coming back. Ran away and hid. Like a good thing. Kudos to Kelly Breen and all the connections.

I liked her in the Acorn. She got eliminated at the break.

Lovely Maria sure ran poorly.

Does anyone know the show pool total from the Del. Oaks ? Was kind of surprised when the show payoffs came up. Lovely Maria was bet hard and often at the track and was at 1-9 to win most of the way.

The WPS total was $344,000, but it didn't have a show breakdown.

I remember seeing that Lovely Maria had $172,000 bet on her to show, I want to say the total pool was about $195k, the winner only had about 1300 and the runner up about 3300.

The site I use HPI has the final # as 221,655 89.3% of the show pool
