i think a lot of coaches show interest in a supposed better situation just to get a bigger offer at home. hell, who wants to pack and move? not me. spurrier had a rumor started that he might be interested in florida, not sure he was the one who started it of course.... but he quickly quashed it and ended up 500k richer a year, and guaranteed salary thru '12.
wvu has been higher up in the last few years than 'bama, he wouldn't necessarily be improving his situation--while the stakes would be much higher than where he is now, much like spurrier said about the 'canes.
