Hey if that's the reason he enlisted my sincere apologies and thanks for his service. But the way his mother told the story it was for an education in a trade (while being paid) that would reward him monetarily in the private world upon his discharge.

I then compared the lifetime benefits monetarily between a college educated Nuclear Engineer and a Nuclear Technician despite the lack of pay while attending college.

Anyway thanks to you and all including Danzig who have served (I didn't) and ultimate respect and appreciation to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and their surviving families.
