![]() Congrats !!!!
I took a shot on the Tiznow RJ horse because of the odds. Really thought Firing Line was the horse, and he was. However I thought Tiznow RJ wasn't very much after watching the race. I was kind of surprised, I thought the extra 1/16th might help him, but I thought he didn't show me much. He was kind of there, then not there. You start putting them at 1 1/8th and then things change. However I've been trying to grab some photos of some of these horses and then use them to compare later on, see how they've grown. Sometimes a horse will run 10th in a Derby prep and they give it 2 or 3 months off and it matures and they can go 1 1/8th or longer. Remember, they are like teenagers, they are not set in stone as to who they are. I guess I screwed up on Steve's horse today. I thought he had a good board shot and ran very well. I just didn't put the right numbers together and didn't cash. All my tickets had the DeeTee horse and he ran very well. I especially like how he kicked at the end and didn't quit. I just gummed up the combinations. However, congrats to Steve. That horse ran well and was gritty. Hopefully goes forward off of this nice effort. He's a nice looking horse, too. |
