Creator, a Group 1 winner in France, was euthanized at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital on Saturday, February 28 due to complications from colic. The 29-year-old son of Mill Reef had been a pensioner of Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement farm in Georgetown, KY, since 2004, when he was retired from stud duty in Japan and returned to the United States. http://archive.constantcontact.com/f...253326935.html |

![]() Creator was one impressive horse, one of the first Old Friends pensioners I met, and back then we were warned to be wary around him. When I last saw him he was entirely approachable, yet as impressive as ever. His name suited his demeanor.
RIP big fellow. |

![]() Excerpt... Vale Waikato, a versatile champion 05 Mar 2015 | By Michael Lee Trainer Laurie Laxon came back from his recent trip to New Zealand with the sad news that his former top galloper Waikato had died three months ago. During his latest yearly holiday back home, the nine-time Singapore champion trainer just casually asked how his old champion was doing only to be told he was found dead in a paddock at Pencarrow Stud after a thunderstorm. http://www.thoroughbrednews.com.au/s....aspx?id=79044 |
