I'll say one thing, the trainer for that operation, when they used to win, was terrific. But as he wasn't listed I won't say his name.....I will leave that to Mike as I'm sure he won't be able to resist.
My mentor, Joe P, was the actual trainer. He did ALL THE TRAINING, he and the crack exercise guy named Finley Bishop.
Joe was incredible, they made a lot of private buys and made a fortune.
They bought one for 35 g's named something like Foreign Intrigue that they gelded and won two races with and then resold for 500 g's.
They had some other nice ones like Olympic cat and Tornado Cat and Copper Mount who won the NY Derby and Albany handicap.
Silver Fox(of the famous bar shoe off silver foxes) won a nice stakes race as well.
They went their own ways and the whole thing crumbled.
Anthony is training a couple now, I talk to him. He was out of the business for a long time and hes got a few horses now.
Lets just say the days of the fancy breakfast at the barn, the limos, the champagne parties etc are all gone.
