Not a cheap one. Goes deep, and he didn't celebrate early on this one. He's stronger than people think. They can keep thinking what they want. Last edited by SCUDSBROTHER : 08-08-2009 at 06:25 PM. |

![]() Pretty swing yields a double off the archway. 15 game hitting streak!

![]() Monday night, he went 1 for 4 (infield single off Loretta's glove at 1st base.) To be honest, if Loney had been playing 1st base, I think he would of handled the bad hop. His hitting streak ended (at 16 games) Tuesday Night (0 for 3.) He got an RBI by grounding a ball to the 2nd baseman. In his 4th at bat, they say he got hit by a pitch (to me it was a weird call, but maybe I was sleepy.) He dropped the ball at 2nd base (the throw from the pitcher) on an easy double play. It was a big point in the game. He's o.k. to play the outfield, but he is not a good 2nd baseman. Bochey tried to play 4 outfielders. Not sure why. Maybe Freddy Sanchez is a lil banged up. Velez has looked tight against the Dodgers (believe me the Giants, period, have looked tight against the Dodgers the last 2 games.) Dodgers can't hit good pitching, but they can sure hit the cookies that the Giants' pitchers have been tossing up there. It was exactly what the Dodgers were desperately needing (to face some bad pitching.) I don't think the Dodgers have pitched that well, but the Giants (including Velez) have looked uncomfortable at the plate. To be honest, this is the unfortunate history of Bochey-managed teams (very tight, with the bats, in big games.) Velez has never really hit the Dodgers much. He has pressured them into mistakes, and used his speed to get on base. He's still hitting .323 on the year. He has to keep his average above the .300 mark, or he will sit. Others are better on D. So, if he ain't hitting really good, then the Pharaoh will be put back in the tomb. He's on a short leash. If he struggles the next 2 or 3 games, then Coach@club will come out of nowhere to join us once again (I can guarantee that.)

![]() Nice double(easy triple, but the ball went over the wall.) Guess McDonald was too busy playing video games to read the scouting report (don't be throwing my boy a fast ball..just don't be stupid.) He easily scores on a base hit to center. They act clueless about the brotha's speed. Tried to get him at home (retarded,) and they were an hour too late. Velez accidentally undercut Martin something awful, and Russ really fell hard. Russ and Sandoval almost fought about 2 minutes after that. Doubled to deep center, and scored= golden with Len C. Cum pitching.

Nice cheap shot..... Guy has only 3 walks.....in 105 plate appearances. Only matter of time before pitchers start hammering him inside, and watch his numbers go back to what they have been in his career.

![]() Where the fk has this been the last week?
E Velez doubled to deep right. R Winn doubled to deep center, E Velez scored. Has all the sudden got a walk, run-scoring single, and a double (he scores to tie the game in the 8th.) Weird bird. |

Has a f'kd up head. Got a double, and you would of thought he hit lotto. Did his biggest thank you Jesus of all time. Can hit, but even he admits he's a fkn basket case. I guess it's close enough to September that he won't have to go back to Fredno, but he's blown his chance. Torres will get that spot back when he gets healthy. You can't have someone taking a position spot when they're that inconsistent. Brox has taught me you can't help these fkn' basket cases get out of their own waste. |

Wow, neither team had much left to pitch with. 8 runs scored in the 14th. Velez even woke up with a clutch triple. http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/m...ent_id=6278727 Never a dull moment when he's involved. Looked like he's was gunna be the hero, but the Giants were too deep into their own "relievers." Both teams have to be gased. Last edited by SCUDSBROTHER : 08-25-2009 at 02:35 AM. |

Tex is a virtual lock to win the MVP. Only other guy with any chance plays on a team whose team has no shot at the playoffs, that'd be Joe Mauer. |

Lidge blows another one, and he had the audacity to state recently tht his stuff is the best it's been in 2 years. BULL$HIT.

I REALLY cant stand Brad Lidge anymore... Instead of Blowing Saves, I'm real confident he'll be Blowing Seasons in the playoffs if he is still our closer.. I'm hoping Myers gets strong, quick. We should have made a move for Wagner.. though I dont see the Mutts trading with us..

![]() Quick trivia question (courtesy of 950 ESPN last week) before I go balls deep into this Iggs/Jags game.
What two players in history have 4 consecutive seasons of 45+ hr's and 130+ rbi's? Ryan Howard will soon join this bunch if he pulls it off this year.
