At the prices a couple stood out in the two and a half mile handicap chase at Sedgefield today. Glen Thyne looks best treated and, although perhaps not open to the same improvement as the lightly-raced Best Accolade at least should stand up to racing, something that one's not sure to do, and looks a fair bet at 8/1.
At a larger price I feel it's worth chancing That's Racing on his chasing debut. He's another who looks potentially well treated on the pick off his hurdles form of this season, has a bit of size about him even though he's going chasing at a relatively late stage of his career, has won round Sedgy and will be better suited by the softer conditions and stiffer test of stamina than last time. His yard haven'y hard a winner for a while which is a concern, but that's factored into his price of 16/1.

Glen Thyne 2pts e/w @ 8/1
That's Racing 1pt e/w @ 16/1

I'll also be looking to lay Reasonably Sure for a place as, for all he has a decent enough record at the track, he's ungenuine and his resolution is sure to be more fully tested this time than when winning a maiden here last time. I can see him chucking it in.

Disappointing race earlier, but having studied the hunter coming up at Sedgy, I think there's value to be had in backingg Briscoe Place, a fairly useful chaser on his day, at 13/2. He surely needed his recent run in a point and the others, in the main, look very limited.

2pts e/w Briscoe Place.

Ruairi shaped a bit better than the result last time and should go close in the novice that's about to start.

Ruairi 2pts win

Rockwithacaveman has been slashing up in points and looks the sort who'll win his fair share of hunters.

Rockwithacaveman 2pts win

Having a bad end-of-season run, but Newton Bridge can help out at Cheltenham in the 3:30. Absolutely tanked through the race at Fairyhouse last time and looks nailed on to get placed at least. 4pts e/w.

Finding it very hard to keep up with all the racing at present, far too hectic/stressful a time of year!

Swampy Blue 2pts win 6:50 @ Aintree.
