Exactly, actions speak louder than words. Everyone knows that Obama is the best with words.. but the actions, or inactions are what actually matters, and so far Obama has shown he's not much, other than more of Bush on steriods.

The GOP Congressional elite stood up and read prepared context, directly to the Prez's face, all the nonsense we've been hearing for the past year - the Prez didn't do this, he didn't listen to them, he didn't read their plans, they have a healthcare plan that will do this, tax cuts, the economy, yak, yak, yak.

He destroyed them with the truth and reality. There were 140 of them, and they were free to publically call him out on anything that he said that wasn't true. They couldn't do it. He knew more about their plans and talking points than they did. He pointed out exactly where they were lying to their constituents, where GOP stuff has indeed been adopted in the past year (tax cuts, health care, etc) . He called them out for boxing themselves into a corner politically, making it impossible for them to be bipartisan in the least.

The last thing this was, was another tepid "political talking points political" redeux.

LOL!! this is the typical Riot post. We all know he can talk his way out of ANYTHING.. truth & reality??? LOL coming from a Chicago politician.

He has been the opposite of bipartisan. Remember "we won you guys have to deal with it"?? and the Dem's had a super majority, still couldnt pass their crap healthcare plan, and its the Republicans fault that the dems cant get anything done.

Obama wants to be bi-partisan now? how come last fall he quipped that he didn't want to hear anything from the other side because they created the mess?

how come he didn't encourage congress to work with or consult Republicans instead of slamming the door on them literally and figuratively? only now that it is clear that even with any number of bribes he still cannot even get his own party on board with his major initiatives, does he reach out to Republicans. actually it wasn't a reaching out, it was a scolding where he came across like a pompous ass again.

for you groupies who still haven't caught on to this scam, Obama takes every charge against him and runs with it, says he's against it when he actually does the opposite. He's a walking contradiction and the biggest liar ever in that office.

He ran against earmarks, lambasting McCain about it. Said he would go line by line through the budget and eliminate waste. The reality is of course that he passed and will pass everything single earmark that comes his way.

He runs against the Bush record of high debt (lol) and irresponsible budgets. The reality is there has never been a bigger spender than Obama and he has put on on a course for debt like we have never seen. As a senator he voted for every spending measure that he now claims were irresponsible for Bush to sign

He said that lobbyists would have no role in his administration, and yet they're everywhere in his adminsitration.

He railed against the recent supreme court ruling because it would allow money to come in from big business and foreign governments (which as a constitutional professor he should have known was false) when he was the first presidential candidate ever to forego public financing exactly for the reason that he was able to reel in so much money from big business and foreign entities.

he repeatedly lied about the healthcare bill saying that, "If you like your insurance, nobody is going to take it away, you can keep it". He knew this was false all along as the plan they created would force insurers and employers to drop the current plans, and only during this heart-felt "debate" did he finally let it slip that this was true. He said that some things got slipped in that might cause you to lose your current plan. of course maybe none of you caught that little nugget.

he has issued deadline after deadline for Iran but they pass by one after another with no action.

He opposed the troop surge in Iraq and didn't support the war, and now in the SOTU address has the gall to say that as a candidate he promised to end the war in Iraq and he has done so. The fact is the war had ended before he became president, the troop pullback was scheduled before he was in office, and this only occured because Bush did not take his advice. This was the one part of his speech that he didn't blame on Bush and that he had nothing to do with. So of course he pats himself on the back and doesn't mention Bush at all.

and on and on. I challenge anyone to come up with anything he says that is factual. There are no examples of Obama telling the truth that I'm aware of.

a couple more obvious ones;

"all these negociations will be on CSPAN so you can see who is acting on behalf of the people". of course none of them were on CSPAN as all the deals were cut behind closed with big labor, big corporations, and with the deal for senators like Ben Nelson. they were all brokered in secret with no camera's on site.

then he was against a budget freeze in the campaign lambasting McCain for proposing it. Now he comes out with a budget freeze! Of course its a sham because he's freezing only a sliver of the budget at 2010's level which already included a big increase last year. So it amounts to nothing but hot air, a stunt.

last week he's a deficit hawk going to work on a commision or something way down the road, but in the meantime today a forklift was used to deliver a copy of his budget to congress. a complete fraud.

If this is true I will have to celebrate with some Bacardi. Maybe celebrate when im in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Hopefully in 2013 there will a Republican as President. At least I know the military and retirees and people collecting Social Security will probably be taken care of better. I can always tell when a Democratic is a President, when that happens the military gets the shaft when it comes to pay raises. Wonder what country is going to cry for the USA to help them out while the military gets the shaft next year for a pay raise.

Af course O'Dumbass wont do anything about Iran. Isnt thier alot of Muslins in that country? Isn't O'Dumbass a Muslin? When he campaigned I didnt believe anything out of his mouth like the majority of the American public did. The majority got what they wanted and I hope thier happy with the way this country is getting ruined day after day by the worthless liar we have as President. You would think that the recent elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts would show O'Dumbass that the American public are already tired of the way the Democratic party is doint thier back door deals and bribing the Senators from Louisiana and Nebraska. Hopefully Pelosi is next and then O'Dumbass. Funny how O'Dumbass is kissing the Republicans ass right now.

He was pretty formidable. He was prepped extremely well. The only one that could really hurt him in there, Ryan from Wisconsin, he deftly manuevered around. He made Hensarling look like the joke that he is.

Its unfortunate (or fortunate for dems) that Ryan comes off as being so snarky at times. Here is a bright and articulate man that could really be a solid conservative leader in years to come.

Consider the influence of Obama's mother and grandmother - Kansas is the hotbed of Muslins in this country.

I can't believe you continue to try and directly involve Obama in this. It's hilarious, Dell

This woman lives in a housing project, is the half-sister (not even full sister) of the President's long-gone father (who divorced his mother when the President was quite young, the father whom he only met once? twice? in his life)

So this woman is at best a half-aunt by a tenuous ancient marriage association through a divorced father long gone and never associated with in the first place.

She lived in a foreign country most of her life. She has said that before her case became public (GOP digging), she had no contact with her half-brothers long-divorced family members (the President) at all.

I think if the President had more ongoing contact with her, she'd not be years living in a housing project, hum?

Quote:
Neither Reid nor Rogers claimed any knowledge of Obama meddling on behalf of his late father’s African half-sister, and Rogers said Onyango isn’t trying “to capitalize” on family favortism.
She's here illegally, the judge will do what he wishes. I am reminded President Ronald Reagan granted amnesty for thousands of illegal immigrants (right after he raised taxes on the middle class several years in a row to help pay for that broke socialist Medicare government health program)

Default Obama invited to speak live to Senate GOP

It's on ...

Quote:
From The Hill
White House warm to televised exchange with Senate GOP
By Michael O'Brien - 02/01/10 06:43 PM ET

President Barack Obama would like an opportunity for a televised exchange with Senate Republicans, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday.

Gibbs said that the administration would welcome an invitation for a televised exchange with the Senate GOP, similar to the extraordinary question-and-answer sessions with members of the House Republican Conference at their retreat last week.

"I believe we have been invited to speak to the Senate Republicans, and we will do so," Gibbs said during his daily press briefing.

The televised session won plaudits from members of the media and other political observers for its openness.

"I think the President enjoyed the give and take on these issues of importance. You guys seemed to think it was a worthwhile endeavor," Gibbs told reporters. "And I think opportunities like this for both sides are important to talk through our ideas.":

Gibbs said the White House "wouldn't have any problem" with an exchange with Senate Republicans being open to TV cameras, too
