Kobe is nowhere near the skill level of Jordan. Of course their skill set is going to be the same, THEY PLAY THE SAME POSTION - DUH. There are tons of players in the NBA with the same skill sets of Jordan and Kobe, but the talent is what makes the difference. Jordan made everyone around him better--Kobe hasnt not reached that point in his career and probably never will.

My one sports regret was not seeing Jordan more live. the only game I ever went to was in the 88-89 playoffs against the Knicks. And the old Stadium isn't like the UC where there isn't a bad seat in the joint, I was only 10, and couldn't see a damn thing.

I am going to sit on the Pippen/Oden comparsion, I was never a fan of Pippen, thought he was a douche bag thus I probably devalue him, especially defensively

Cartwright shot 52% from the field for his career and 77% from the free throw line for his career. Those numbers are pretty darn good.

I was lucky and had Pacers season tickets from 1985 to 2002 so I got to see Jordan many times. It was a real real treat.

HE WAS 7'2 and didn't have to jump to dunk because his knuckles dragged when he walked. 52% aint **** when you are that big.....

All Cartright did was block hook shots and dunks. Wilt had face up game, at least from what I have seen on ESPN Classic

Seriously, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Cartwright only avg 0.6 blocks a game. He has a great turn-around J and played entirely with his back to the basket. He would do the turn-around j or would face up his man.

9-1 is not too bad at all. Phoenix and Dallas arent really playing all that well. The Spurs may not have it this year. New Orleans is the leader of the west--imagine that. So $20 on the Lakers at 9-1 might be a good bet.

I am really impressed with Bynum. No wonder they didnt want to give him up for Kidd. And I agree with you, if Bynum comes back healthy then they are the team to beat (in the west).

Cartwright was an excellent mid range shooter. That was his whole offensive game. He is like a black Ilgaukaus. Walton is not Kukoc. The only they have in common is that they are both white. Walton is a pass first player who plays a little d and tries to play a role. Kukoc was strictly a one dimensional shooter. Pippen may have been a douche bag but he was a tremendous defender.

Kobe most certainly has a similar skill level as Jordan. Jordan made everyone better once the rest of the players were better. Funny how that works.

He was not 7'2". He had a nice face up jumper from the baseline.

I was going to say this exact thing but I gave up on the fight......Jordan had a bunch of specialists around him, his all around game was enough to compensate for their faults

Jordan's hands are absolutely enormous.
The jumping ability, stop on a dime,
ability to make tough shots all the same.

But Jordan's hands give him a big advantage
over Kobe. ANd the fact that Jordan did not
give a crap who was on his team and how much
he scored as long as they won.

Phil Jackson should get some sort of medal
for keeping this crybaby patient.

Lakers still lack a point thank God.
This does elevate them.
