watched the replay, the ASU defense did the first smart thing to ever occur by an ASU student by jumping on the ball.

Dumb on the QBs part, and the officials could have done a better job, but ASU was very smart for diving on the ball the QB just placed on the ground.

According to the rules guy the ref should have stopped the clock when he jumped on the ball.
