They 100% are not better then Miami. They are maybe as good as OKC, thats a big MAYBE. If Bostons 2 young bigs provide anything, they might not be better then them either.

Based on this, I see the Lakers winning 70 this season on the way to the title.

No shot. Kobe, Artest and Nash are still old. Will they get younger? Gasol is still soft and getting old. Howard is coming off a serious back injury.... Plus rumor is he is 1 and done with his eye on Brooklyn.

Kobe will share his Hoe's - they will all be pumped for the season - 30 + will be the new 20.

They aren't going to win 70, but they weren't that far off OKC in the playoffs this season. They upgraded at PG, signed a solid role player in Antawn Jamison and upgraded defensively with Howard. Who cares if Gasol is soft?

I think Bynum is a fantastic talent, but he can be a liability at defense. Not to mention he has a history of injuries. So they roll the dice with Howard because they realize Kobe has maybe 3 years left. I've always kind of thought Howard was overrated, but he should fit well with Nash. Maybe Kobe can light a fire under Howard and get him to stop being a clown and focus more.

I think they will be an improved team from last year. If that is the case and OKC doesn't get better I don't think there is THAT much separating the two teams. OKC is very, very good. But the Lakers additions made the gap that smaller between them.
