The guy basically has him penciled in and after last week (and really after all his races where he basically wants to run off) they should be hoping that he should be in the gate, not expecting.

And I don't know why that race should be thrown out or discounted. It wasnt very good.
Don't get me wrong, I already thought this horse was a virtual no hoper for winning the Derby. I'm just saying that if you liked him before this race, I think he can be forgiven his distant second.

First, it was his first start in three months.

Second, he did have a start that compromised his chances, especially considering his style.

Third, he ran way way way too fast for the first parts of the race. He almost seemed too fresh.

I don't think he was too fresh in the Holy Bull. He's run way too fast early in all his races.

Hopefully his connections find a spot where he can produce a Bellamy Road-type effort (probably the Illinois Derby) right before the Kentucky Derby so his reputation remains intact at post time.

Dave Grening just tweeted that, per NYRA, part-owner Harvey Diamond has confirmed Hansen for the Gotham.

It will be decided by a pull of a slot machine.

No shot to win the Derby, ever.

A very nice horse who should be left to do what he does well.
