What I mean is the horse hardly belongs in the KY derby off of his current body of work. It is like the coach of an NFL team making Super Bowl plans off of a bad week 4 loss.
I understand, but he was coming off 2mo. break and you don't want him peaking too early. Figure 2 more races before Ky Derby as long as he progresses nicely.
