Not that it matters, but I seem to remember reading Gone Astray was being pointed to this as well.

That's actually not true. It is very thin but there are two or three horses in the race that can run fairly well.

Fly Down, Morning Line, and Rule are miles better than any of the horses that Quality Road beat in last year's Donn.

I agree. None are Quality Road but they would have likely filled out the Super last year...and pretty easily.

Morning Line? He could be finished. Rule? I guess he could be OK. Fly Down is a real horse.

Every horse that races could be " finished " but given that he ran about well as just about any horse on the BC Card, I think writing him off after one subpar race is probably a little premature. He's hardly an overraced 7YO.
