Compared to this point in time last year (i.e. Fog 05 vs Bern 06), who had the best career? I don't see much difference between the much maligned LITF and the much praised Bernardini. One could equally claim neither defeated a good field of 3yos, both defeated a really small, weak field of older horses as a prep to the BC races, and even their Beyer figs and margins of victory are similar. Yet many of the Bernardini goo-goos on various forums I attend were really harsh critics of Fog. If Bernardini throws a clunker in the BC Classic, their careers will basically be identical except Fog traveled more, was undefeated and raced a couple more times.

You cant compare the Withers, Preakness, Jim Dandy, Travers, and Jockey Club Gold cup with the Kings Bishop, Riva Ridge, Sunshine millions and Carry Back.
