i loved general assembly, my pick to win the derby that year...we all know how that turned out.

General Assembly was my pick that year, too.


Just to clarify on an earlier post I might have misinterpreted, Spectacular Bid was not a son or grandson of Secretariat.


That said, I cherish Spectacular Bid's Florida Derby that I saw from the track apron at the finish line.

That finish line win is one of the photos on the wall of this sports viewing room.

The greatest example of a horse pulling a jockey to victory that I have ever seen in my years of racing fandom.
