I just listened to the segment, it was amazing. How classy was Durkin calling in with a great story? Mig is such a class act, and you can't help but pull for a great guy like this to go out on his own terms. All the best to Mig on a speedy recovery.

Another great ATR segment. Mig is a class act. I remember seeing his fall on 1/23 - it was awful, and as awful as it was he still managed to crawl over to his fallen mount and restrain him. Best of luck to Richie with a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. I hope he is able to recover fully to pursue whatever path he chooses.

When I was working with The Saratoga Special, Mig was always more than gracious when it came to interviews. He also took my brother back to the jocks room, got him some goggles etc. Class act, and I wish him the best.

If I were a family member or a friend, I'd do my best to try to get him to quit. He reminds of some of the long time cyclists I know, who still ride without helmets. Problems is, their reflexes aren't what they once were. It's one thing to engage in an activity that you know could cost you your life at any moment; quite another to continue doing so when your best days are behind you.

Hope the surgery goes well, he's pain free and he stays that way by moving on to another stage of his life.

The news about Eddie Castro " riding " at Belmont ruined my day.

Castro is a solid turf rider. Don't sell short.

That seems to be a sign of thing to come - Monmouth kicking NYRA in the nuts while they're down. On the bright side, the winter jocks won't have to move their tack very far....
