Cool. I know one mile isnt a sprint, but take a horse like Kodiak Kowboy who has already won 3 races this year (2 of them Grade Ones over the great Fabulous Strike). Say he wins the Cigar Mile. Does that even count towards his consideration of champion sprinter? Or is that a complete throwout race because of the distance?

If you are of the opinion that Informed Decision does not deserve the award because she never took on males, doesnt it kind of come down to who wins another race (and what race it is) between Fabulous Strike and the Kowboy?
