First, the plays that have the highest probability of winning, (and hence lower price winners within), will virtually ALWAYS be covered in the mutli-ticket approach, (and ideally will be played for more than $1 or $2 base amounts). But then, more sequence combinations that feature outrageous prices within will be covered when they might not be in simple 'caveman' tickets. That will produce overlay returns. And because my plays regularly may leave out 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd choices in legs in favor of 'crazier' horses, the multi-ticket approach should catch many more of the 'middle' price P4's I frequently have missed.
