I look for any runner that has been routing, preferably at 1 mile 70 or 1 mile 1/16 and has good early speed, preferably sitting right on the pace, not neccesarily setting the pace and cutting back to either 6 1/2 or 7 furlongs. It kind of makes sense. They can get into the race early enough without having to be overly exerted and will typically have an acceleartion in mid stretch that other sprinters don't have. Believe me....that angle works!!! Put it in your bag. |

![]() I thought Maram was a two-fist bet against today. I was dead wrong. Kudos to them.

![]() Someone mentioned to me, which i didn't even realize, that I get an extra 10% bonus because I did it on Youbet. Another almost $1400 in the account on Monday. That is pretty cool since I didn't even know.

I was expecting something ground-breaking or innovative but I suppose the cutback angle is strong enough to take a stand. I wasn't too keen on Flashing because I thought the Nassau County was an absolute staggerfest and she just lucked into the win. She proved best today in a race that was both uninspiring on paper and in actuality in my opinion. NT |

Maybe after Serling and his boys witness a couple hundred more turf cutback winners (today's 11th for the most recent example) this will finally get 'revised'. Officially, I hold off betting all these types until 'official' word comes down. |

You really have no clue about Mr. Serling and the way he handicaps. He doesn't hold any one thing (angle) in such high regard. All the data is part of the solution. Sometimes there isn't much data and the angles have more weight in his decision making, sometimes they hold vitually no weight. What makes him so good is diseminating all the information not being dogmatic to a specific discipline. Does he like cutbacks? Sure when he thinks the horse is better suited for a shorter race..There are plenty of times he dismisses the cutbacks. |
