Probably not a great strategy for Tiger considering hes had little success coming from behind in majors. He needs to shoot a 67 or better today to have any shot at the win.

I disagree.. Everyone is coming back towards the field. He can shoot even par and be in great shape.. one under on the day and he'll be in VERY great shape.

We'll have to see. From watching Tiger this year (especially in the last 2 majors and yesterday), hes made a lot of poor decisions he never seemed to make a few years ago when he was winning everything. Theres no reason to think this will change in the next couple of days, but I hope it does. I couldnt take a final round of watching Matther Goggin, Lee Westwood and Steve Stricker going at it for the win.

Golf needs Tiger, just like horse racing needs Allen Jerkens.

yeah... He came off a huge injury and hadnt played golf in a long long time until a few weeks before the masters this year. I read an article that was interviewing him and he said if you would have told him he would have 3 wins and 2 6th place finishes in the majors he wouldnt have believed ya... didnt think he'd perform as well this year getting back into the swing of things. I wouldnt be surprised if thats part of the reason he looks like he's taking more poor shots. I still wouldnt be surprised if he won the British this weekend and/or the PGA.. but next year I think he'll be really tough. Its just crazy how when he doesnt even seem to play awesome, he still finishes in the top 5 or 10... its to be expected every week now, its amazing.

I'm not disagreeing with you on his greatness. And like you, I am a huge fan.
What I dont like is all the non stop coverage he gets and the neglect the other guys get, many of whom are ahead of him in tournaments. There were a couple of guys in the US Open who were closer to the lead in the final round that got absolutely no coverage, yet Tiger's every shot was shown.

I doubt Tiger is excited about 6th place finishes. Thats like Roger Federer only reaching the semis of a Grand Slam. Its like Albert Pujols only driving in 98RBI in a given year. For a guy (Tiger) who much wasnt expected of this year, hes always being made the odds on favorite to win every tournament he competes in.

I'd be surprised if he wins this weekend but thrilled to see him get major #15.

Hey Scuds- A good friend of mine's wife recently left him...a year into their marriage she became one of these and I have never met a meaner person (now that she switched sides). She was a sweetheart before. Now I would be afraid to look at her the wrong way, because she would bitchslap me so my face would hurt for a month. She took him for half of everything he had too, which in his case was quite a bit. Would have been nice for him to know this prior to their wedding.
